Wow. I go by this every day on the train (you can see it in the lower third, center); how empty the skyline looks in comparison. Today those buildings are totally overwhelmed by other buildings.
(On the other hand, the heads of the Captains of Industry in front of Merchandise Mart always crack me up, in part because I imagine they’ve been set on pikes at the gates of the city. Sorry, robber barons!)
