Okay, Tumblr, maybe you can help me out. I rode my bike to work today, and intend it ride it back. That’s a little under 15 miles round trip, so I want to be sure I have this right.
I just got my bike (old-ish, crummy mountain bike) checked out for a slow leak in both tires. The back tire and tube were fully replaced, and I was led to believe that the tube in the front tire was replaced too, with no need to replace the tire itself. But when I’d gotten a few miles into my ride this morning, I noticed that my front tire was squashing down a little. It was taking a little more effort to pedal too. Yet when I stopped to check it, the tire resisted pressure like it was full and properly sealed. It’s only by pressing down with the frame of the bike that this happens. (I’m a total biking n00b, so forgive me if this is totally ridiculous.)
My question is, do I have to get the bike shop to do something about my front tire too? Or am I missing something really obvious? Should I worry about biking home with this?
