In reply to your question: it is available on dvd, but only at institutional prices, i.e. holy fuck expensive. HOWEVER you can sometimes find used VHS tapes on amazon.com, and also: *looks around for legal types* it is on youtube. All 20-odd hours of it. ;)

I cannot watch this yet, because at work, but ALL the Geordie Hotspur. \o/
